I've recently moved to Kentucky. And when I say that I'm from the South, people often tell me that Kentucky is part of the South. And from what I heard before coming here was that Kentucky was NOT a Confederate state during the civil war. Therefore, in my mind, Kentucky is NOT a Southern State. And, after all this, I did my homework on the South (may it keep its beauty and uniqueness forever) and found out that Kentucky was claimed by the confederacy but never actually became a part of it. So, facts are facts, Kentucky is not part of the South and is therefore above the Mason-Dixon line. Which sucks for this little Cracker because I'm freezing my butt off!!
